Gliese 832 c, best habitable candidate yet / Gliese 832 c, el mejor candidato de habitabilidad
A nearby Super-Earth planet called Gliese 832 c just 16 light years away from Earth appears
to be our best habitable candidate
yet that we know of. This extrasolar planet located in the constellation of Grus,
orbiting the star Gliese 832, a red dwarf, completing an orbit around the star
every 36 days receiving about the same amount of energy as the Earth does from
the sun.
The planet was discovered by an international team of
astronomers, led by Robert A. Wittenmyer from UNSW in Australia, the researchers
said that "A denser atmosphere, something expected for Super-Earths, could
easily make this planet too hot for life and a Super-Venus instead." This
world is situated near the inner edge of the habitable zone so they are cautious
to conclude that it is habitable since a massive atmosphere would render it
inhospitable. It has to be said that there is another planet in this solar
system a cold Jupiter-like planet, Gliese 832 b, which was discovered in 2009.

planeta extrasolar se encuentra en la constelación de Grus, orbita la estrella Gliese
832, una enana roja, completando una órbita alrededor de la estrella cada 36
días recibiendo más o menos la misma cantidad de energía que la Tierra recibe
del Sol.
El planeta fue descubierto por un equipo internacional de Astrónomos,
liderados por Robert A. Wittenmyer de la Universidad de Nueva Gales del Sur en Australia,
los investigadores dijeron que “una atmosfera densa, algo previsible para
las Super-Tierras, fácilmente podría hacer que fuese demasiado caliente para la
vida y ser por el contrario un Super-Venus.” Este mundo esté situado al filo de
la zona habitable ya que una atmosfera densa lo haría inhóspito. Hay que decir
que hay otro planeta en este sistema solar un planeta frio como Júpiter, Gliese
832 b, que fue descubierto en 2009.
