The longest Lunar Eclipse of the XXI Century



Last night, Friday 27th of July, the earth was position in front of Sun and the Moon originating the longest lunar eclipse of the XXI century, the phase of totality of the event started at 21:30, local Spanish time, with a duration of 102 minutes, during this our satellite reflected a reddish colour, what is popularly known as blood moon, something useful to scientist which facilitates the study of the state of the atmosphere of earth, the next to total lunar eclipse will take place in six months. 

The pictures were taken from Alcalá de Guadaíra, near, Seville, Spain. On the observation site it was possible to see the planets Mars now at opposition and the closet it will be to earth until 2035, Saturn, Jupiter and Venus.
