8th Nocturnal Route Alcalá de Guadaíra

Once again, the Nocturnal Route Alcalá de Guadaíra took place on the night of the Saturday 30th of June which is organized by the civic platform “Salvemos el Guadaíra” an event that congregated about 500 people starting at 21:30 on the Plaza del Duque and transecting along the water mills of Alcalá de Guadaíra such as “La Tapada” “el Algarrobo” “Las Aceñas” and passing by arroyo Maestre arriving at Cuesta Carretilla where some of the astronomical associations of the province of Seville were waiting like “Cielo del Guadaíra”, “Astronomía Sevilla”, “Ibn Firnás” and “Tiempo de Estrellas”. 

After an introductory talk on astronomy the public was able to enjoy an stargazing night contemplating the planets Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and the Moon and astronomical objects like the globular cluster M-13 in Hercules or the double star Albireo in constellation of Cygnus.
