First images of Titan Flyby T-125
Cassini is releasing the first images of the recent Flyby T-125 over Saturn’s moon Titan, these are not validated and calibrated which will be later archived with the NASA Planetary Data System. In this image of a crescent Titan the camera was pointing toward Titan, and it was taken using the CL1 and RED filters, taken on 2016-11-30 07:20 (UTC) and received on Earth 2016-12-03 06:21 (UTC).
Cassini snapped this view in an infrared filter to peer through Titan’s thick atmosphere and image its Surface. The camera was pointing toward Titan, and the image was taken using the CB3 and CL2 filters. It was taken on 2016-11-29 13:30 (UTC) and received on Earth 2016-12-01 06:47 (UTC).
This is a view of Titan’s upper-level haze layers, taken in the ultraviolet. It was taken on 2016-11-30 05:04 (UTC) and received on Earth 2016-12-03 05:52 (UTC). The camera was pointing toward Titan, and the image was taken using the CL1 and UV3 filters.
